Altimeter Cabin Amenities...
'Let's make this simple...
'You've decided to visit Mt. Rainier National Park.
You want a cozy cabin with a private hot tub, real woodstove, comfy bed, and, maybe throw in a roaring campfire.
...And, real close to the entrance gate. 'Right?... Well, you've found it.
(O.K...'here's all the details!)
This charming old cabin has been completely restored, featuring open beam, log construction, beautiful custom woodwork, stone and tile. Hand-planed wainscoting on the walls, solid oak hardwood floors and a real wood-burning stove sits on the original stone hearth. Details such as hand-made cedar trim & other creative features- such as the climbing rope surrounding the sleeping loft- make for a truly authentic mountain cabin experience.
All wood, stone and tile has been meticulously varnished and sealed, giving the cabin an exceptionally clean & new feel -even though it was originally built in the early 1900's.
The cabin is located on three acres of heavily wooded forest. Lush undergrowth flourishes under 400 year old cedars & soaring firs. There are private walking trails, onsite, and areas close by suitable for mountain biking.
There is also a large area around the campfire pit suitable for one or two tents. Ask us for details!

Note...This is a cozy cabin, perfect for two, but is great for four adults and/or teens. We understand that, many times, the visitors to Mt. Rainier do not fit a standard mold. So, fold-out, couch/futon is also available in the living area, although not recommended for an extended stay. Honestly, what we mean by this is, that, we could squeeze in another person, but, it would not be the most comfortable of situations. Infants, not yet crawling or walking, are welcome upon prior approval, providing you bring your own crib, playpen and/or appropriate sleeping accommodations.
